Pyle’s past experience in agricultural matters is extensive. She was the grassroots director for Oregonians for Food & Shelter (OFS) from 1980 until her retirement in 2015. During her 35-year career at OFS, she brought the stories of farmers and ranchers to the halls of the nation’s and Oregon’s capitol to educate and advocate for policies that are good for every corner of the state. Paulette has also worked on dozens of political campaigns. Notably, she was the grassroots advisor and coordinator for Gordon Smith’s successful bid for U.S. Senate in 1996. She’s also earned dozens of awards throughout her career, including the Ted Young Stewardship Award from the Oregon Forest Industries Council and the President’s Award from the Oregon Farm Bureau.

Raised on a dairy and wheat farm near Cottonwood, Idaho, Paulette is an Idaho-born advocacy veteran who brings with her more than 35 years of experience in grassroots activism and 20 years of experience in political campaigns.
