Center for the New West

The Center for the New West is a Boise, Idaho-based western issues think tank housed at Veritas Advisors, Elizabeth Criner serves as the Executive Director. Through Ms. Criner's leadership, the Center has grown into a leading platform for western leaders to inject the interests of the West into the national decision-making process. Her efforts have assisted in bringing elected officials, industry representatives, government officials, civic leaders and other stakeholders together to discuss public policy issues facing the West, and her work allows the Center to continue to be a leader in national issues. Ms. Criner has led the Center’s work on national issues such as energy, water, health care, biofuels and telecommunications, focusing on the unique ways public policy affects the West. Through this work the Center has been able to play an important role in policy decisions made at the national level by assisting in research and communication, and providing forums to bring key opinion leaders together to participate and work towards common goals.
